2Kings 3 This is an account of Moab rebelling against Israel. Joram of Israel and Jehoshaphat of Judah joined together to fight Moab. Jehoshaphat was a good king and trusted the Lord. He wanted God to be the reason that they are victorious.Verse to meditate on: 11But Jehoshaphat said, "Is there not a prophet of the LORD here, that we may inquire of the LORD by him?" And one of the king of Israel's servants answered and said, "Elisha the son of Shaphat is here, who used to pour water on the hands of Elijah." 12Jehoshaphat said, "The word of the LORD is with him." So the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat and the king of Edom went down to him.
2Kings 4 v. 1-7 A miracle occured when Elisha used the widow's oil to multiply itself to pay her debts. In v. 8-17 This Shunammite woman showed hospitality to Elisha. Elisha asked what can be done for her. Gehazi, his servant said that she had no son and her husband was old.
All of these action involved FAITH and obedience of the people involved in the miracles. God loves people who are in need and there was a detail account of how Elisha came to her rescue and he told the Shunammite woman that she would have a son.

Acts 14.8-28
This is the First Missionary Journey (Acts 13.4 - 14.28).Paul's First Missionary Journey
Paul healed a man at Lystra who was crippled, the Greeks thought that Paul and Barnabas were gods. They were ready to offer sacrifices to them. Paul told them that they were ordinary men like they were. The opposing Jews came and stoned Paul and left him for dead but the disciples came and rescued him. Did Paul give up? No! He continued to Derbe with Barnabas to spread the Gospel. They made many disciples and return back to Iconium and Lystra and finally to Antioch. We need to learn from Paul and Barnabas' lives. They did not give up when a little persecution came their way. They persevere to preach the Gospel.
